    I got a call and hit the option to speak to the rep.  I ended up buying a much needed warranty for a good price in February.  I got a call from the confirmation dept a short while after (one hour) and that was it.  I paid for it and have it.  Nothing was weird or rude or non legit about any of it. I do admit that it is annoying to get cold calls but companies are trying to just stay afloat these days. I am glad I purchased it and I used it already for a transmission.  I dont know what the big deal is.  It is an individuals own job to be put on a DNC list so stop complaining and get on it.  This is the way of the world people, just deal with it. I went on this site because I was told by my brother that he was getting calls from them too.  I did not know this many people would be complaining.  Maybe they got a bad sales rep with no manners???

    They are now using spoof caller ID numbers.  Received three calls in two days from General Warranty Services.  new caller ID numbers are:  310-599-5763 and 802-372-4395.  They will obviously change their caller ID number daily.

    Yup.  General Warranty Services.  I act like I want the warranty, andget transferred to one or two other people.  I "listen" to their salespitch, and when they ask for my VIN number, I ask them if I can put themon hold while I go out to the car and get it, then I just go on about mybusiness until the red blinking light on my phone goes out.:-D

Hate Telemarketers
    This company is a SCAM. I've asked them to please do not call me again. I have no interest. When a company calls you and says. "we've sent you several notices that your vehicle warranty has expired", and they do not know what type of vehicle you own. It's just a crap a$$ telemarketer. SINCE they will not take me off the call list, I've started keeping them on the line for 20- 40 minutes. I ask them constantly to repeat things, go over what parts of the engine are covered, what part of the transmission is covered, and after. Then I keep them on the phone for another 10 minutes because they want the vin and exact mileage, well it's a 10 minute walk to my vehicle. So if they want to waste my time. I'll waste there's. They are to stupid understand that if they're talking to me after I've asked them to call, they can't make any money scamming other people. What tards

    Hi, I'm the President of General Warranty Services, the company that's bothering you.  I'm a huge do***ebag with a flimsy Product/Service that's been around for less than six months but has still garnered enough bad attention to fill posts and threads throughout the web with venom about my shady company.  My business model is to have my poor employees call you constantly with no regard to "No-call lists" and requests to be removed from our sales list to try and trick you into thinking that this is your last chance to extend a warranty on a vehicle that I have no idea of the make/model/year or even if it exists.  It's likely that the person calling you has also been duped by my job ads stating they can make $700 - $1200 weekly, though there are many people like the girl who wrote this complaint ( http://www.complaints.com/2008/april/19/General_Warranty_Services__167764.htm ) about making $45 for 54 hours worked.  Whenever you receive multiple phone calls from General Warranty Services, and find yourself on the edge of losing your mind I encourage you call me, Bill Ranney at 603-685-6250 ext. 1141 as many times as my unethical company has called you and please let me have it.  P.S. I make love to children, animals and things that have died.

    another scam - just like the other telemarketers - but this one calls a 99 yr old - how stupid can it get? ?  and when is something going to be done about such?  I have reported the other to the FTC and will do the same with this as well as to the FCC!  there's a saying of what comes around turns around - hopefully with enough complaints, these jerks will losse their jobs and have someone annoy them for a change!

    this number called me today.  Its the second phone call from this number in 2 weeks.  Thanks for the heads up here. I'm going to take the advice from the comments above mine and complain to the FCC. Hell I'm on the Do not call   list as well, whatever good its suppose to really be with our broken government.
