Received calls, lots of them. Scared me half to death. Name was Keith Jordan. Heavy accent. Said I owed them $552. or I was going to jail in 3 days. Called my brother, my previous employer and who knows who all else, telling them I was in serious legal trouble and to get me to call them as soon as possible. Also connected to annother name Jeffery Morgan at 877-615-0508. Will report to police and FBI.Still shaking but now because I am furious.

this number is a scam!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT send them money! if they threaten to call the police, let them do it. its the stupid people out there that send them money who fuel their greed. think about it, if you owed money to a company, why would you be sending money to a specific person, and why would they threaten to call the police on you? it makes no sense. ask them for simple questions that a business would disclose, like a mailing address, or the name of the person you are speaking to. Oh, they cant give you a mailing address? SCAM!

It is 9:00 am and I have already received 4 calls from these people this morning.  Very heavy Indian accent very hard to understand.  Same way yesterday.  It seems like every 3 - 4 month I get these calls constantly for about a week then it stops for a awhile and then starts up again.  People get a life and a real job.  I will not answer your calls or return your message so stop waiting your time by burning up my phone.  If there was a real legal issue then why haven't I received any information through the mail?????leave me alone....I don't have time to play games(Names that have been left on my voicemail: Phillip Brown, Ike Williams - highly unlikely that these are their real names) I receive phone calls from 646-461-3892 and 917-284-9293 and they claim to be with ACS - Affidavit Consolidation Services....do your reseach....this company does not exist.....

I too received several calls to my home phone and messages were left on my cell phone today.  My mother answered the phone calls at home and said the jerk could barely speak English and was very rude.  She told the caller NOT to call back and he kept calling six more times.  I called the number left on my cell phone and the guy said his name was Robert Smith (not very creative) and he told me he was from The Crime Prevention Unit Office and that if I didn't resolve the matter of owing a cash place money, then an investigator from the police dept. would be over shortly.  I told him that was fine with me since I knew I hadn't done anything wrong.  After the call, I called the cash place where I actually am paying and they gave me the number of Homeland Security and mentioned that the call was a scam.  Homeland Security informed me that this whole thing is considered Identity Theft and to let all of the credit bureaus know what happened.  Also, he mentioned that I should immediately let the bank know.  If you need the number to Homeland Security, it is:  (989) 497-0580.

My husband got a call at work from the department of crime prevention. He was told the same story as everyone else. He said his name was Robert Smith, but he was Indian with a heavy accent. When he gave my husband the SS# and the name, he told him that was not him. He kept on saying that he was going to get arrested if we didn't pay $222. I decided to call him and ask him all types of questions. He gave me someone else's information (SSN, name, address), which no company that is legit would do. These people need to be reported, because they have a lot of personal information from God knows how many people.DO NOT PAY THEM.... I just found this and i'm glad i didn't give them my credit card (which i almost did).

I received a phone call yesterday around 2:00 P.M. Stating they were calling from the crime preventive office and that I owe $444.00 to a loan lender back in 2009. He stated his name was Alex and his extension is 162 in I had any questions to give him a phone call regarding my case. I want to know who is it or what going on.

I recieved a phone call this morning, telling me that crimial charges were being brought up against me for non payment of a payday loan that was taken out several years ago that I do not remember taking out. Stated that I will be charged in a federal court w/ charges starting with check fraud... imprisonment up to 5 years & $5000 fine just for having it taken to federal court. Very heavy indian accent, knew my SS#, address, all my families phone numbers, my place of employment for the last 5 years, my last address that I just moved from. Upon me asking who the payday loan company that was attempting to collect/sue me was, I was told that it was Pay day Cash & that there were several of them that went through their company & that he would not be able to tell me exactly over the phone. So I told him to email me the information, I have yet to recieve this information. But when your waking up to a phone call of this nature, & being told that they have contacted the police dept in my city (which is a very small city, w/ only 2 police officers) a block down the road, & that they are standing on stand by waiting for them to call them back to arrest me for check fraud, if i refused to pay, you tend to freak out, which is what i did. I made the mistake of giving them my debit card info Now I have to close down my bank account, put an alert on all my credit report stuff etc... All for waking me up, & this has been chewing @ me all day, so tonight i jump on google to find this out. People taking advantage of people who have had a rough time to begin with making ends meet due to what ever circumstance that has landed them in the situation they are in, should be hung!  My husband & I work hard for the money that we do make, it isn't much but it is ours & we have to rob peter to pay paul just about every month, so we do get creditors that call frequently, how do u ever figure out that they are the real creditor that is calling & how do you tell it is a scam?
