I just received a text to my Sprint cell saying "Reminder: You are a Winicane exclusive member. Support txt HELP or 18005101468"  I have no idea where this came from, I don't usually give my cell # for any reason. I texted back STOP! and within seconds received a text back saying "You are disconnected from Too Lazy Text Alerts and will no longer be charged or receive messages. Questions email support@toolazy.net or 18005101468.  I hope I won't be charged for anything, I certainly didn't ask for this!

I can confirm this information.  This "Too Lazy" company charges the provider and the provider charges you.  It is important to have the provider credit the charge on your account because when they use the "Refund" request it only credits the charge from Too Lazy to the provider. Hope that made sense.

Here's what you need to do.  Your provider can request a refund if they have the tool.  Most customer care reps don't care enough to do so when you call you have to basically plead for them to do so.  I do know that Sprint will request the refund from the carrier.  There is a tool called Premium Messaging that is used to do the refund request and the block. The other option you have on getting your money back if your provider (Verizon) won't credit your account.  Do a google search for "sms code 47941" and get their email and request it there.  These are normally unsolicited text messages that can't be stopped. With Sprint you can have ALL premium text messages blocked but make sure that you aren't getting any first.  I just had to deal with this on my daughters phone (she's 13 and I thought it really was her based on the title "too lazy"), I called Sprint and the customer care rep used the tool, requessted the refund, adjusted the charge, and blocked her phone from all premium text for the future!  THANK YOU SPRINT for fixing my issue!

same thing, I have no idea what the heck happened. One day my wife got our cell phone bill from Verizon and it had this company charge of twenty-something dollars on it. When she called Verizon, they told her that I had signed up for the service. When she questioned me I had no idea, I don't text, only my kids and wife do. I spoke to Verizon and they but a block on it. I attempted to get hold of people at TOO Lazy with no luck. Verizon gave me a website to cancel it but it got kicked back. Have no idea when if anything has happened. Won't receive our bill for another week.

i feel like this is high way robbery and i am currently writing the attorney general to advise him of this scam. i am requesting an investigation into this matter. And, i am so angry that cell phone companies are allowing this nonsense to happen.

I received a text from 47941 with the same message as other people, stating that I'm a "winicane exclusive member". Not having ever heard of "winicane" I googled the text and found this site. I don't know how it got my phone number since I don't enter my cell number into websites. Verizon informed us that it's a premium service that will charge 9.99 per text - either from you or to you. Either way it's a bunch of BS and just a scam.

I was sent a text message which I deleted and next thing there is a $9.99 subscription charge on my phone bill from Too Lazy Text Alerts (47941)  I called U.S. Cellular and they looked it up and gave me their phone # 800-510-1468.  Mailbox is full, you get a recorded message telling you to send STOP message to 47941 - did this.Hope it work but I'm still out $9.99
