It is a Cogeco Cable Inc phone number. Don't panic, it's This is NOT accounting or collections or anything like that. If Cogeco's accounting dept. had a reason to call you (for non payment or something like that) they would simply CUT YOU OFF, and then you would be phoning them instead. This is 99.999999% them calling you trying to sign you on for Cogeco's Home Phone and/or their digital cable package. Only way to STOP the calls, is to sign up for every service they have so that there is nothing more for them to sell you. This is a direct cut-and-paste of the fist number from their 'Contact Us' page.Call Customer Service at the numbers below for residential and commercial billing, sales and technical support inquiries.      Customer Service      1-866-427-7451...Now I'm going to phone THEM up and try selling stereo speakers to the first person who answers the phone... tit for tat.

Cogeco Service
Yes, it is a firm that markets promos for companies. In this case, it was for the phone service offered by Cogeco cable. I simply said we are happy with our phone service and not looking to change at this time. They were polite and wished me a good day and did not try to push the service on me.

If I don't recognize an '800' or '866' number (or any other number) on my caller ID I do not answer it.  If the caller doesn't leave a message I don't call back.  It saves a lot of irritation and I only hear from people I can identify. This number is listed on Cogeco's website (http://www.cogeco.ca/cable/on/en/customersupp ... _telephone.html) as their customer service number.  Maybe we should all hassle them!

I just called 866-427 7451 and it is indeed Cogeco in Burlington. I spoke to someone in Sales and Marketing and asked to be removed from their calling list. They did that and so I shouldn't get any more calls with no message from this number. End of story.
