I received a message from this # and it was a notice that I have reached 50% of my data usage for the month. So, for me, it wasn't spam.

This is generated when you visit the MyVerizon app on your phone, If your number is not the main one associated with the MyVerizon account it will generate this message and send a message to the main number letting them know you "registered". It uses the email address registered on your phone as the email address that "registered" for the MyVerizon. To test this, go to vzw.com and sign in with the number that received the new password. It is legit and safe.

got a text from 900080004000 saying "Your address has been changed in VZW please dial *611 if you did not authorize this". What a bunch of crap, obviously it is a scam to get me to dial that number.

This is the number that shows up for free Verizon text messages. These messages are meant to be a courtesy for the customer containing information regarding your account with them. They send it to your phone to be sure that you are the one making changes and not someone trying to commit fraud and tamper with your account. If you recieve a message from this number stating that changes have been made to your account information and you did not initiate the changes, I would contact Verizon immediately.

I recieved a message from VSG confirming my request for Auto Pay. I tried to get a human being to talk with and ended up speaking to a 411 operator. I'm going yo continue to try to contact someone in authority at Verizon befre we have some sertous problems.

I registered my phone on Verizon's website and I recieved my conformation from this number.  However, I think Verizon is having problems with their servers sending the wrong messages to people.  I am getting spam texts from their 80001000100 server number and can't seem to find a way to block it.

Received a text message from number 900080004000: "VZW Free Msg. This cell phone number is now unregistered from My Verizon. If you feel that this is in error, please call customer service."What does this mean?? I suppose it's a scam after reading everyone else's comments about this number.
